About Us
Who are we?
Miller Heights Baptist Church consists of a wide range of different people of all ages and
different backgrounds. Our worship style does not fit into a traditional or contemporary
category. We aim to gather together and make a joyful noise to the Lord through our worship.
Our worship service tends to be blended with a Southern Gospel flare.
When to arrive:
If it's your first visit, then it would probably
be best to show up around 10:15 a.m.
Our church service starts at 10:30 a.m.
There is parking all around the church
property, along with handicap parking
located in the front of the church.
What to wear:
This is easy. Wear whatever you feel
comfortable in. We accept people as
they are!
What to expect:
We all have had a "first day" at church, and
to help avoid any worries, you'll find we are
very friendly. If you don't understand
something, please ask. Our aim is that
whether you are just looking into
Christianity for the first time or have been a
Christian for many years that you should be
encouraged and inspired by the worship
service. We hope that everyone will draw
closer to God.
What we believe:
We are a Baptist church and we are
affiliated with our local Bell Baptist
Association, along with the Southern
Baptist Convention and the BGCT.
As a church, we follow Baptist doctrine.
We believe that we are a fallen and sinful
people. We believe all people , no matter
how sinful they may be, can have a
relationship with God. This relationship is
possible because of the sacrifice that Jesus
Christ made for you. We welcome all
people even "the worst of sinners" to come
and hear the Word of God preached, after
all, "for all have sinned and fall short of the
glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
When do we meet?
We have many services and activities
outside of our regular Sunday services.
Please feel free to browse our website to
find out more information about many of our
church's ministries.
What about those with special needs?
At Miller Heights, we welcome all of God's
people. In order to do so, we have handicap
accessible rest rooms and parking available.
If you or your family has other special needs
that require special accommodations, please
feel free to contact our church office.
Miller Heights Baptist Church was officially organized as a church on July 6, 1947 in a one room building at 1901 So Wall St, Belton, TX. The first pastor to serve at Miller Heights was Rev. T.J. Lankford. Since that time, Miller Heights has been an active member of the Belton community. Over the years, Miller Heights has been blessed to have as a part of it some of the finest members of this community. We look forward to you continuing that legacy by worshiping with us.
